The discography of Trinidadian rapper and singer-songwriter Nicki Minaj consists of one studio album, three mixtapes, twenty-four singles, including fifteen as a featured artist, one promotional single, and twenty-two music videos. After becoming involved with music and acting in high school in New York City, she eventually picked up rapping. She was discovered by rapper Lil Wayne and signed to Young Money Entertainment—a subdivision of Cash Money Records with distribution through Universal Motown Records—in 2010. Having released three mixtapes since 2007, Minaj was featured on the tracks of artists such as Ludacris, Trey Songz, and Jay Sean, earning fourteen appearances on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2010.
"Massive Attack", Minaj's first single as a lead artist, was dropped from her debut album due to poor chart performance. Her next single "Your Love", however, reached number one on the Billboard Hot Rap Songs chart, an achievement that made Minaj the first female artist to top the chart unaccompanied since 2002. "Check It Out", a joint single with singer and rapper will.i.am, has reached the top thirty in Australia, Canada, Ireland, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Her next singles "Right Thru Me", "Did It On'em" and "Moment 4 Life" have all peaked in the top five of both the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop and Rap Songs charts, with the latter topping both charts and becoming her first number-one hit on the first. Minaj's debut studio album Pink Friday was released in November 2010 and has reached the top of the Billboard 200. The album has since been certified gold in the UK and platinum in the US. "Super Bass" has reached the top ten in the US, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
